Root texts and the related translations and commentaries are grouped into “Projects”. These can be explored by expanding the plus boxes. At the foot of each project, bibliographic information on the texts is available.
Once you have selected a text, this will display highlighting the relevant concepts by default. Once the page has fully loaded, the options and contents links will appear of the right hand side allowing further exploration.
Selecting the options link opens up a window which shows all the texts, commentaries and translations available in that project. Each colour of text represents one root text and its related translations and commentaries.
Selecting the contents link opens up a window allowing you to move directly to specific parts of the text.
Clicking on one of the concept links indicated by a spinning top (denoting a topic) or ruler (denoting a proposition) will take you to the concepts area to explore all the texts, translations and commentaries available in the interface through the lens of that topic or proposition.
Concepts can be explored by expanding the plus boxes.
Once you have selected a topic or proposition, Śāstravid will show you how that concept can be narrowed down in the right hand menu and will show you any relevant parts of the root texts, translations and commentaries available in the interface under the Project Authorities heading. Clicking a text will take you directly to that text in the Projects area.
